SAAQ & CSST Patients

L’ESPRIT Physio & Healthcare Clinic is accredited by SAAQ and CNESST.

We take care of our SAAQ and CNESST/CSST patients to minimize the long-term effects of their car accident or their work-related injury. We have all the forms necessary to transmit the claims and we provide help to guide our patients through the appropriate course of action. SAAQ-Car Traffic Accident Victims





Under the public automobile insurance plan, all Quebecers are covered in the event of a traffic accident in Quebec or elsewhere in the world, regardless of whether you were responsible.

IF YOU SUSTAINED BODILY INJURIES IN AN ACCIDENT

 You must take the following actions as quickly as possible:

  • see a physician at L’Esprit Physio and Healthcare Clinic or another clinic as soon as possible
    • drop-in clinic at L’Esprit, no appointment needed

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 2 PM- 4PM or

Monday through Friday from 7 AM-8PM by appointment

    • The physician will diagnose your injuries and identify the correct treatment plan.
    • The physician might recommend being treated by a physiotherapist or occupational therapist
      • The physiotherapists will provide you with treatment to help decrease your pain and improve your mobility and strength.
      • The occupational therapist will ensure that you have full function so that you can return to previous life safely and to prevent a reoccurrence of your injury. 
  • phone the SAAQ to report your accident and open your claim file
  • phone your private insurer about the property damage to your vehicle
  • when you are at L’Esprit for your first visit, make a follow-up appointment with the physician  to monitor your recovery
  • when you are at L’Esprit for your first visit, set up an appointment with a physiotherapist and occupational therapist for a proper assessment and follow-up visits, if required and recommended by the physician
  • All treatments with your physician, physiotherapist and occupational therapist must be approved by the SAAQ
  • SAAQ covers the costs of all pre-approved treatments

CNESST/CSST- Work Related Injuries




 Having a work injury can be debilitating and stressful. It is important to take the proper steps once you have been injured at work to ensure a full and speedy recovery and to make sure that you are properly covered financially while you are unable to work.

IF YOU SUSTAINED BODILY INJURIES AT WORK

 You must take the following actions as quickly as possible:

  • see a physician at L’Esprit Physio and Healthcare Clinic or another clinic as soon as possible
    • drop-in clinic at L’Esprit, no appointment needed

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 2 PM- 4PM or

Monday through Friday from 7 AM-8PM by appointment

    • The physician will diagnose your injuries and fill out the necessary forms for CSST.
      • The physician will estimate how long you need to be off work and they will discuss the appropriate plan of action for you.
      • This may involve sending you for specific tests such as x-rays, MRI, CT scan etc and prescribing medication for you.
      • The physician  will also refer you for physiotherapy and or occupational therapy for assessments
      • The physician might recommend being treated by a physiotherapist and/or an occupational therapist to ensure that you will fully recover from your injury and that you return safely to work
        • The physiotherapists will provide you with treatment to help decrease your pain and improve your mobility and strength.
        • The occupational therapist will ensure that you have full function so that you can return to your previous life safely and to prevent a reoccurrence of your injury. 
  • when you are at L’Esprit for your first visit, make a follow-up appointment with the physician  to monitor your recovery
  • when you are at L’Esprit for your first visit, set up an appointment with a physiotherapist and occupational
  • The cost of all approved treatments are covered by the CSST.
  • You will have to attend physiotherapy and occupational therapy sessions three to five times per week until you are ready to return to work.
  • Your physician and therapists will communicate with the CSST to update them on your progress. When your healthcare team decides that you are ready to return to work they will inform the CSST.
